Question: This email is to express my interest in the International business program. I would like to know the requirements especially for the minimum GMAT score and the last admission date for September 2014.
The answer of Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs Marina Lavrikova: In 2013 admission of the documents of foreign applicants for education in SPbU at the expense of the Russian Federation budget was held from 01.03.2013 to 30.06.2013. Application documents for studying in SPbU on contractual (fee-paying) basis in case of entrance visa necessity were admitted from 01.03.2013 to 21.07.2013. Rules of Admission to SPbU in 2014 will be published on SPbU official website not later than 01.02.2014.
In case of admission to SPbU on basis of assignment letters issued by the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science, for education at the expense of the Russian Federation budget within quotas established by the Decree of the Russian Federation government dated 25.08.2008 № 638 “On cooperation with foreign countries in the field of education” foreign citizens could take part in an open contest that was conducted by SPbU. To take part in the contest applicants had to write an essay and pass a test.
As follows from your question, you’re interested in applying to the main educational Master’s programme “International Business”. In 2013 to be admitted to the mentioned programme on fee-paying (contractual) basis foreign citizens had to pass entrance exams on the following subjects: Management and Business English (GMAT), English (TOEFL), Business Communication in English. Minimal grade for each of the exams had to be 60.
