English Question: I write from Barcelona (Spain) where I am attending my last year courses in a postgraduate on Humanities. The matter is that next year I will be enrolled in a doctorate program at Pompeu Fabra University, where I'm carrying out research on 1920s russian writers, and I am applying for a grant to attend the first year of my doctorate program at the University of Saint Petersburg.
I have been asked to present an invitation letter from this institution and I do not know how to obtain it. My supervisor did write to you but she did not receive any answer and that is why I am writing to you. I would like to know, if possible, what procedure I should follow to obtain this invitation letter.

You didn’t mention which level of education you are interested in.
Foreign students can study in SPbU within student exchange programme, within agreement between SPbU and home organization (university, research organization etc.) or an assignment letter issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. In this case tuition is free of charge and you study according to individual study plan.
There is no agreement between SPbU and Pompeu Fabra University. In this case you can come to SPbU only on fee-paying basis. Tuition fee can be paid from the grant. If you want to study at SPbU PhD programme (aspirantura), you can apply either for budgetary (tuition-free) scheme or fee-paying (contractual) scheme. To be enrolled you will have to pass entrance examinations. Information on admission to SPbU aspirantura in 2013 can be found here. Admission to SPbU doctorantura wasn’t held in 2013.
