Question:

Greetings from Bangalore India!!
I request for information on feasibility, fees and admission procedure for PhD in Public Health or Epidemiology of Infectious diseases or Non communicable diseases.

The answer of Head of Admission Committee Egor Yablokov:

International applicants can be admitted to SPbU both to places on a fee-paying (contractual) basis and to places funded by the Russian Government (Scholarship includes tuition fee).

All information about the competition, organized by the St. Petersburg State University, including a list of required documents and PhD specialties which you can apply as well as deadlines for documents submitting are published on the web-site of SPBU Admission Committee (abiturient.spsu.ru) in the part "Admission of foreign citizens". Information about tuition fee will be published on the web-site before June, 1.

All Postgraduate programs (PhD) at the SPbU are delivered in Russian language. For learning Russian we can suggest preparatory course on the Russian language before the application to the PhD. A preparation course in Russian lasts 10 months. Upon completion of the course students obtain a graduation certificate from SPbU. As well, they can take a state examination “Test of Russian as Foreign Language” (TORFL) and obtain a certificate of a correspondent level which is needed to apply for studies at the SPbU. More detailed information about the foundation course and a full list of programs offered you can find here.
