Question: I want to study the bachelor program of management, and I would like to know if is possible to work while studying, in order to pay for the studies.

The answer of Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs Marina Lavrikova: Main educational Bachelor programme 080200 “Management” is a full-time course of study, classes are conducted during the day and usually finish by 18:00.
According to clause 3.4.1 of the Rules of Internal Regulations of the Federal State Educational Institute “Saint-Petersburg University”, approved by the Order of SPbU Rector dated 19.01.2009 № 28/1, University students have to follow the mandatory requirements of the corresponding educational programme and individual study plan approved in accordance with the University Charter, attend lessons and fulfill all the assignments provided by the study plan and academic subjects programmes.
In case of breach of duties provided by the Rules of Internal Regulations student is to be expelled on the basis of subclause «ж» clause 51 of the University Charter, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 31.12.2010 № 1241 (with changes approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 31.01.2012 № 58).
Thus, students are obliged to attend courses and non-fulfilment of this obligation leads to expulsion. If student works in his free time and fulfils all the study plan requirements, combination of work and education is possible.
