English Question: I'm from Moldova and i study in one of the best schools of its capital, Chisinau. This year i finish the lyceum, and i would be honoured to study in your university. I didn't find anything about admission of foreign students on the web-site, so i decided to write this virtual letter. I would like to know which are the conditions of admission the students from CSI, which is the admission mark and when i have to come to St. Petersburg to sustain the entrance exam. Hope you will provide answers to my questions. Thank you!
The answer of Vice Rector of Academic Affairs Ekaterina Babelyuk: In 2013 foreign citizens could apply to SPbU either to places financed from the Federal budget (within the quota established in the Decree of the Government dated 25.08.2008 № 638 "On Cooperation with Foreign Countries in Educational Sphere") or on fee-paying basis.
In case of applying to places financed from the Federal budget, foreign citizens had to submit a motivation letter, prepare an essay and complete an individual task. To be admitted on fee-paying (contractual) basis the applicant had to successfully pass entrance exams in SPbU or submit results of the Unified State Exam (ЕГЭ) passed in any convenient place.
