Enrollment of foreign students to SPbU

Question: Dear Ms. Lavrikova, I am an aspirant at Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary and I would like to spend 10 months at your university via a scholarship. For this I would need an invitation letter, in which your university accepts me as a foreign student spending 2 semesters at the faculty of philology. Could you help me in this? Who shall I write to? What form is needed to be filled in?

The answer of Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs Marina U. Lavrikova: Enrollment of foreign students to SPbU non-degree studies on the tuition-waived basis is possible if there is a valid agreement between SPbU and the foreign University or an official assignment to education in SPbU issued by the governmental authorities of the Russian Federation. At the moment there is no protocol on student exchange between SPbU and Eötvös Loránd University which stipulates the quota, timelines and financial conditions of possible exchange. Thereupon at the moment your exchange period in SPbU isn’t possible. To receive detailed information on education in SPbU under intergovernmental agreements you should contact the governmental authority of Hungary responsible for education.
