Question: I am from Malaysia. I am interested to study medicine or biological sciences in SPbSU. I want to know more about that. Is it the language of instruction in English or Russian? I hope you can provide me with the informations. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
The answer of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ekaterina Babelyuk: Вeing a foreign citizen you have an opportunity to participate in competition for enrollment at SPbU:
1. As foreign citizen granted governmental scholarship on basis of an official assignment to education in SPbU issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Russian Federation Government Resolution dated on 25.08.2008 No.638 “On cooperation with foreign countries in the field of education” to be educated at the expense of the federal budget of the Russian Federation.
2. As foreign citizen training on the contractual basis at SPbU providing for tuition fee.
Detailed information on admission procedure and requirements at SPbU in 2013-2014 academic year will be published on official website of Admissions Office not later than 1st February, 2013.
In 2012 admission of foreign citizens to SPbU bachelor educational programmes in the fields of Biology, General Medicine, Stomatology envisaged passing oral-written exams in Russian language and also written exams in Biology and Chemistry. Further information on the rules of admission of foreign citizens at SPbU in 2012 can be found on official website of SPbU Admissions Office.
SPbU bachelor educational programmes are instructed only in Russian language
