Question: Hi! I am interested of studying nursing in english language. I would like to know how and when should I apply and also where? Also I would like to know is it possible for me to apply as I have only finnished studies of a practical nurse(social and health college) and now I have been working for two years, what are the possibilities to be accepted? And what are the applying requirements? I am from Finland and I have studied and graduated from Finland.

The answer of Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs Marina Lavrikova: There is a main educational programme of secondary professional education “Nursing Care” in SPbU. Language of instruction at the programme is Russian.
To be admitted to this main educational programme the applicant needs to have education level not lower than general secondary education (full programme).
As you’ve got your education not in Russia, according to the Regulations of Admission to studying in main educational programmes of secondary professional education in 2013/2014 approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated 28.01.2013 №50, to apply to SPbU you need to submit the original of a public standart form on education qualifications (or its certified copy) or the original of a foreign document on educational qualifications accepted in the Russian Federation at the level of Russian Federation document on educational qualifications (or its certified copy). In case your document has to be recognised in the Russian Federation you need to attach a copy of a recognition certificate of the document. Admission of foreign citizens in SPbU main educational programmes of secondary professional education is possible only on contractual (fee-paying) basis.
Documents admission is conducted from 01.03.2013 to 31.08.2013. In case an entrance visa is necessary documents are accepted from 01.03.2013 to 31.07.2013. Rules of Admission to SPbU Main Educational Programmes of Secondary Professional Education in 2013 can be found here.
