About starting the study period with a delay and opportunity to get the acedemic calendar

Published Date:

Question: I am an exchange student and will study at SPbGU the whole next academical year. I will come a little late because of administrative problems and so I will miss the first lessons. Will it be a problem?
And my other question is this one:where can I find the acamedical calender? (with the exams and holidays dates)
Thank you very much,
Best regards

The answer of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ekaterina Babelyuk: Please be aware that insignificant delay with starting your study period at Saint-Petersburg University (up to two weeks) will not cause any challenges to your participation in exchange programme. However it’s of principle importance for us to get actual information on your arrival date. In this view we kindly ask you to fill in Arrival Information Form (having been received along with Acceptance Letter from SPbU) and send it to Academic Mobility Department (e-mail: mobility@spbu.ru) as soon as you get student visa and arrange your travel to Saint-Petersburg.

As for academic calendar at SPbU please be aware that conventionally it’s the following: autumn term (1 Sep – 25 Jan), spring term (10-14 Feb – 25 Jun). At the same time your personal academic schedule depends on definite study programme which you will be enrolled to.
