Dear Mr Aplonov

in the course of a research paper I am writing about Friedrich August Gebler's botanical studies, I learned that your university owns some of Gebler's herbariums.
I ask you whether you could send me some copies of them in the attachment to your e-mail. Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,
Laura Purfuerst

The answer of Vice Rector for Research Sergey P. Tunik:

Dear Ms Purfuerst ,

There are some   Friedrich von Gebler’s specimens in our Herbarium, all of them being stored as part of the historical collection of H.G. Bongard (1786-1839). It includes about 60,000 specimens and, unfortunately, has not been digitized yet. That is why we do not know how many of Gebler’s specimens we have at present. Only the type specimens have been digitized, with only one sheet signed by Gebler among them.

You can visit our Herbarium’s website at www.bio.spbu.ru/faculty/collections/herbarium.php .

Please find attached an article devoted to our Herbarium, too.
