Admission to postgraduate programs

Published Date:

Question: I'm interested in Postgraduate Programmes in your university. I was wondering if the SPbSU has a LL.M or other postgraduate programme which is taught in English. If it does not have such programme I also of interested in enrolling the Russian language course specifically for postgraduate students of law. I would appreciate if you send me relevant information in English, including fees and duration of studies.

The answer of Head of Admission Committee Egor Yablokov:

The most programs in SPbU are taught in the Russian language, including Master programs in a field of study 40.04.01 “Law”. List of the programs which are taught in English you can find here.

A preparation course in Russian lasts 10 months. Upon completion of the course students obtain a graduation certificate from SPbU. As well, they can take a state examination “Test of Russian as Foreign Language” (TORFL) and obtain a certificate of a correspondent level which is needed to apply for studies at the SPbU. More detailed information about the foundation course and a full list of programs offered you can find here. Information about all educational programs and List and Forms of Admissions Tests you can find here. Information about tuition fees is located here.
