Exchange student from New York, USA

Question: Hi,

I am a student from New York City, USA, looking to study abroad in Russia in the fall as I am very interested in Russian language and culture. My college is not a partner organization, but I may be able to go through partner organizations in the USA, if there are any.
What procedure should I follow for my plan?
I’d appreciate it if you could answer as soon as possible.
Thank you & Best Regards.

The answer of Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs Ekaterina Babelyuk:

In case there is no agreement between your home university and SPbU you can come only as a fee-paying student. The admission procedures and fees depend on the programme (field of studies) of your choice. If you’re interested in practical courses of Russian language for foreigners, you can find the detailed information and necessary contacts on the website. If you are interested in taking courses within some other field of studies, you can check the list of available courses in the International Affairs section of SPbU official website. Please, take into account that you will be able to choose courses only within 1 field of studies, though you can take Russian language courses additionally to any other studies.

Please, address all the further questions to SPbU International Academic Cooperation department (mobility@spbu.ru).
